1. About us
Maddison Games Ltd is a UK company established in 2003. We run a number of websites and publish / distribute murder mystery game kits in digital format on this one.
2. Licence to use
When you purchase a game kit, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to:
- View and print the files for personal private use
- Use the game kit to host a private murder mystery event
- Print as many copies as you need for the players at that event
This licence is for personal use only. You may not use our content for commercial purposes (including running paid events) without a separate commercial licence. Please contact us to discuss commercial licensing.
3. Restrictions
You may not:
- Share, redistribute or resell our digital files in any format
- Share your access code with others (unless required for printing for your event)
- Publish your access code online or in any public forum
- Pass your access code to another person, for them to run their own event
- Copy, reproduce or adapt any content for any other purpose
- Remove or alter any copyright notices within the files
- Use game content to create derivative works without written permission
4. Intellectual property
All content on this website and within our game kits — including text, images, characters, storylines, puzzles and design — is the intellectual property of our licensed authors or Maddison Games Ltd and is protected by copyright law. Unauthorised copying or distribution is a violation of copyright and may result in legal action.
5. Access and availability
We provide access to your purchased files via a secure online portal. Access is subject to the following conditions:
- Some files are available for 1 month from the date of purchase (as indicated in the portal)
- Audio files and certain other content may be available for longer periods
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue access with reasonable notice
- We do not guarantee the availability of this service indefinitely
We recommend printing all files you need promptly after purchase and within any applicable access period.
6. Refund policy
As our products are digital downloads, we are unable to offer refunds once files have been accessed. If you experience a technical problem preventing access to your files, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve the issue.
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a right to cancel a digital purchase within 14 days unless you have already begun downloading or accessing the content. By accessing your files you acknowledge that you waive this cancellation right.
7. Suspension and termination
We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access to your account without notice if we believe your access code has been shared, published or misused, or if we detect unusual login activity suggesting unauthorised use.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maddison Games Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of or inability to access our digital content. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant product.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
